In September of 2010 I had the opportunity to review both Part  One and Part Two, in effect the complete series, of Corpse Princess. Needless to say I thought it was a poor anime and I graded it as such. You can find the links to my reviews for both at the end of this particular review. In any case, as with a few of the other Funimation titles that had come out in segments, Corpse Princess receives the complete package release, and as usual Amazon has made it very affordable. New, either one of the first two releases is about the same price as the complete package release.

If you owned the first two releases then there really is no need to re-purchase the complete package set, unless of course your looking to compact the release to just one case. Seems expensive, but who am I to tell you how to spend your money. All of the bonus features remain the same for the complete package release as they did in the individual releases from 2010. You have your Textless Opening and Closings, Episode Commentaries, and Trailers. Nothing new to speak of. The series is the same, the bonus features are the same, its just, as I said, the show all wrapped up in one individual case. With that being said it will be no surprise that my grading for the series is still going to be relatively low. To save you the trouble of reading the entirety of both of my earlier reviews for the individual releases let me put it plainly, the series wasn’t very good, and it’s finale was one of the worst I’ve seen in anime.
